SAN ANTONIO, Quezon – A mini-dump truck owned by actor Gary Estrada was allegedly carnapped by his helper in Barangay Loob here on Monday, August 7.

Carmen Delgado, 43, Estrada’s secretary, reported to the police here that Estrada’s Foton mini-dump truck with license plates NEW-6384 was taken without permission by the suspect, Jeffrey Ragas, 37 a resident of Barangay Loob.

Delgado told police that the security guard did not notice Ragas driving the vehicle to San Juan, Batangas to celebrate his birth anniversary along with his cousin.

However, the truck was involved in an accident in San Juan when it bumped the bicycle of Jaime Dimayacyac, 64, from behind.

Dimayacyac was taken to the San Juan District Hospital for treatment while Ragas abandoned the truck which was impounded at the San Juan Police Station.

Police Master Sgt. Ariel Pillerba, case officer, reported that the suspect faces a case of qualified theft filed by the San Antonio police.

On the other hand, the San Juan police are preparing a case for reckless imprudence resulting in physical injuries against Ragas.
